Although born and raised in the UK, Erica Rodriguez spent part of her childhood growing up in her Fathers native country of Spain where she soaked up the culture for a number of years.
Make up has always been in Erica's blood. At the height of the neon 80"s she began to put her skills to practice, doing make over looks for her childhood friends.
Together with beauty and make up, art and fashion have always been of great interest to Erica and her eagerness to learn more in this field led her to study Art and Design.
Following this, she then began her training to become a beautician where she gained extensive knowledge of different skin types and bone structures.
After qualifying as a beautician in 1999, Erica decided to embark on a different journey and pursued a successful modelling career, moving from a small village in Buckinghamshire to the heart of London.
After 6 years of modelling for clients such as Alberta Ferretti, Miss Sixty, Wrangler and Gossard, Erica decided that it was time for a career change and to return to her original passion of make up. From that moment on she began to work with many photographers, pushing her boundries, exploring her creativity and gaining valuable experience.
Erica's motto is "I'm happy when I am creating and being able to express", and this is a credo that she brings to every job. Whilst specialising in beauty and fashion make up, Erica is flexible enough to cover any genre and can also style hair.
Being self taught, Erica has developed a profound understanding of her clients requirements and is able to adapt to any given assignment.
In just two years Erica has built up a solid client base which include Pilsnser Urquell, London Fashion Week, Hollyoaks, Redken and Loreal. She also has an extensive publication list, including ICON, View Of The Times, Amuser, Lurve, Grove, Beauty Flow - to name a few.
As well as her ability to work solo, Erica has experience in overseeing and directing a team of creatives as head of make up for Redken at TRIBE 2008 for the launch of London fashion week and for the new Pilsner Urquell TV commercial shot in Prague earlier this year.
That said, although Erica prides herself on her professionalism, she also has an 'easy going' approach, as anyone who has worked with her will testify.
Currently, Erica splits her work time between Paris, London and Madrid, and is available to travel globally for work.
Erica is extremely grateful to everybody with whom she has collaborated in her career so far and thinks that the incredibly talented people that she has had the fortune to work with has spurred her on to push and improve her career even further.
"Thank you to everybody who has taken the time to look at my website," says Erica. "Please do not hesitate to get in touch"
